Notes If you are from outside the area perhaps the TOP CAR PARK in Kilbroney Park is a better place to start. There is a caf? here for after spin munchies. Parking is safe but I wouldn?t leave valuables visible in the car. Obviously the times depend on how fast and fit you are, how much you stop and if you have punctures etc. I reckon you could take off 15 minutes in the hour if you are very fit and keep tramping on. You could also add 15 minutes in the hour if you are out of shape.
A lot of people ask me whether a route is hard or easy .Its impossible to answer this as it depends on your fitness and technical skills. I can only suggest you suck it and see. Our trial loop will give you some idea of our normal pace. I have included elevation profile for each route as this is probably the best indicator of the toughness of a route.
All of our routes are ?XC?, we are not down-hillers .All of the routes do have technical down hill but little of it is really hard and there are no jumps!
Pushing/walking/portage. Some parts of our routes are on hills too steep or technical to climb although we always try! Some bits are just not cycle-able. I have tried to indicate the amount of this on each route.
Each route is accompanied by a route marked map and a link to the motion-based site where you can if you wish download the route to your GPS. Each map also has EXIT points marked if you need to get home quickly.
